Role Responsibilities

• Be the referent engineer for the charging expertise skills as a substitute of the Europe expert.
• Define charging validation strategy together with the function owner and global charging team for the US and Canada market.
• Define validation tactics and expedition route in alignment with global charging team by taking lesson learned of the previous expedition drives.
• Ensure that the preparation of the vehicle for testing is well considered, in terms of equipment inside the car: Measurement laptop, logger, tracker, SW/HW definition, …
• Conduct different types of charging tests (Interoperability, Performance, conformance) required to evaluate the maturity of the charging hardware and software around the main location and on expedition drives.
• Work closely together with the European and global charging team to identify and solve issues and give input for market maturity evaluation.
• Technical support for possible customer charging issues in the region in collaboration with the global team.
• Ensure a frequent benchmark of our direct competitor to identify interesting new direction trend.
• Report expedition or validation status and escalate blocking point to line manager and project manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• Hands-on experience in the field of BEV charging validation.
• Experience with tools such as (e.g. CANoe Pro, DSA).
• Good understanding of vehicle CAN communication and different charging standards such as SAE J1772, ISO 15118, IEC 62196.
• Experience in conducting vehicle expedition & global collaboration.
• Open minded, solution driven, highly motivated engineer.
• Fluent in English, Notion in German and Chinese would be a plus.
• High level of engagement to solve any issues and drive issue resolution.
• Positive attitude, resolute and highly skilled to drive for results.
