Regional Sales Manager - USA

 

The Sales Manager functions at the centre of the Sales and Marketing operating model; working closely with Lotus’ dealer and distributor partners, drawing from the respective support functions to deliver against the set strategic objectives of the commercial division. 

 

Fundamental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the role include vehicle wholesales (units and revenue), retail sales, parts sales, stock and debtor management and network expansion.

 

Roles and responsibilities 

 

  • Production of a business plan and marketing plan each year for each dealer or distributor partner, to be monitored and reviewed quarterly
  • Conduct price reviews on a quarterly basis, analysing the competitive position of Lotus products, factoring in exchange rate variations where relevant
  • Adherence to the established dealer audit process, with monthly dealer visit reports filed in a central location
  • Ensure that the vehicle stock position, from a factory and dealer/distributor perspective is maintained in accordance with KPI targets
  • Responsibility for debtor management, acting to avoid or address overdue  dealer balances from a vehicle perspective
  • Liaison with the Marketing, ASO and Motorsport divisions to ensure delivery against the KPIs identified
  • Represent the sales region at key meetings and forums, including regular sales review sessions
  • Produce, report and present qualitative and quantitative performance analysis of the sales region, incorporating macroeconomic data, competitor performance as well as any other external variables as appropriate

 

Essential Critea 

 

  • Commercial, operations or sales and marketing background
  • Balanced individual with strong interpersonal abilities and networking skills; effective written and verbal communicator, results-driven and commercially orientated
  • Automotive experience at manufacturer and/or dealer level, with -previous working experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Outgoing, driven, flexible, team ethos
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a commercial environment

 

Desirable Criteria

 

  • Degree qualified, ideally business or finance disciplines
  • Language skills and international business experience
