About the Role

This is an incredible opportunity to join a rapidly growing business and really add value to the role and therefore the wider company.

The Business is looking for a technical thinking, ambitious and highly motivated individual to join the finance team and support the Head of Finance to drive the business forward.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of tax accounting under FRS102 and IFRS; prior experience of US GAAP is useful but not obligatory.
  • Corporate Tax Compliance, Reporting and Advisory
  • Management of accurate and timely tax disclosures for statutory accounts of group companies, including RDEC provisioning
  • Deal with HMRC requests and enquiries
  • Support on Transfer Pricing
  • Manage VAT processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, including any foreign reclaims
  • Maintaining all Senior Accounting Officer documentation
  • Manage external advisors to ensure tax compliance in the UK and internationally
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of risk minimisation strategies
  • Disseminating implications of UK tax changes on the wider business
  • Support the business with tax-related advice, including Customs and Duty
  • Supporting with any BRR+

 

Experience:

  •  To be considered for this role you will be ACA or CTA qualified or equivalent with experience within in an in-house Tax role
  •  Attention to detail is critical as is strong business partnering skills
  •  Experience of using large ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP would also be an advantage.
  •  Prior experience of tax accounting and tax auditing, with a clear desire to further specialise in this area.
  •  Good project management skills, including meeting agreed deadlines, taking ownership and working with a wide variety of stakeholders.
