Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Define software control, quality and maintenance processes
  • Develop and maintain top-level vehicle software requirements including feature implementation and maturity growth plans 
  • Establish and maintain the company software issues tracking system
  • Review and approve software development, verification & validation and control plans
  • Support release activities of electrical systems in the software domain
  • Establish integration test requirements
  • Ensure software parts are correctly structured in the BoM


Skills/ Experience required to be successful:

  • Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or related engineering degree with an overall grade 2:1 or higher.  A post graduate qualification would be preferred.
  • Expert understanding of automotive software design, development, release and distribution
  • Software development life-cycle and methodologies
  • Integration and validation testing
  • Team and project leadership experience
  • Practical experience of vehicle electrical architectures, communication protocols and diagnostics
