Material Coordinator, Norwich, Norfolk
Part of the Production team working directly to ensure that Manufactured/Assembled components are produced in accordance with the Quality, Cost and Delivery targets. Drive the business forward, making improvements to uptime and efficiency of machines/equipment/processes ensuring Hurricane Way Producion can support both Lotus & other 3rd party customer requirements, securing future growth and prosperity.
Role responsibilities
- Operating various types of lifting equipment; Counterbalance FLT, Multi-directional Combi-Lift, electric pallet trucks and other pedestrian lift trucks etc.
- Handling and processing manufacturing orders from raw material/extrusion picks to receipt of finished goods, liaising with Team Leader & Material Planners.
- Removing empty packaging/stillages etc from line and return to storage areas
- Daily checks of FLT & other material moving equipment as required.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all staff by adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures.
- Monitor stock accuracy by use of cycle counting when required.
- Operate using FIFO system.
- Support continuous improvement activities.
- Expedite parts to ensure stock levels are maintained and achieve customer schedules.
- Loading & Un-loading of vehicles.
- Delivery paperwork validation and the timely booking in of manufactured components and goods received.
Essential Critea
- Good understanding of English language required to follow written and verbal instruction.
- Worked in manufacturing environment with C/Balance FLT license.
- Goods Inwards / Despatch.
- Numerate with ability to read & understand written instructions / documentation.
- Ability to work under strict time allocation. Computer Literate
- Warehouse or logistics experience.
- Honest, trustworthy, flexible, enthusiastic and able to communicate well with others.
- Can work unsupervised and as part of a team.
Desirable
- ITSSAR or RTITB qualified. Knowledge of industry standards and logistical processes.
- Ideally MRP system knowledge.
- Preferably Supply Chain experience. Combilift multi-directional trained.
- Productive worker with solid work ethic who exerts optimal effort in successfully completing tasks.
- Previous Supply Chain experience working within an Automotive / Aerospace envirnonment
- Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative. Good attention to detail & willing to learn new skills.
