About the role

To provide predominantly field based technical and general aftersales support to dealers in relation to all Lotus products.

 

This role can be hybrid or remote. The individual is expected to work in the Northeastern time zone. They will be required to travel to our headquarters in Plymouth MI and be field based within the USA. Per our travel policy they will be responsible for making their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Liaise with dealers in the provision of all aspects of technical support and advice including vehicle mechanicals, electronics, control systems, body, paint, and interior trim.
  • Travel to and visit dealers on a regular basis to administer this support.
  • Meet customers at dealers, inspect/assess their cars, formulate, discuss and action rectification plans.
  • Generate and file vehicle inspection/action plan reports on CS database.
  • Administer & enforce warranty policy. Review, validate and authorize warranty claims.
  • Carry out secondary dealer warranty auditing role.
  • Assist with technical training either at Lotus or at the dealer as & when required.
  • Assist with the investigation and production of all ASO technical literature/bulletin campaigns.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Manufacturing and all other departments as required.
  • Provide general support to ASO, PR, Sales and Marketing as required.
  • Correct first time diagnosis and fix critical element to contain and reduce warranty expenditure and customer aggravation - safety always being highest priority.

 

Required Skills/Abilities

 

Essential:

  • Automotive certification such as ASE or equivalent.
  • Indepth knowledge of complete vehicle systems.
  • Mechanically proficient, strong communicator.
  • Similar position in automotive sector. 
  • Flexible and adaptable, confident, team-player, self motivated, articulate.
  • Polite, friendly and professional.  

 

Desirable: 

  • Prior ASE certification or above.
  • Good knowledge of individual vehicle system(s) -  experience with Omitec/Continental or similar diagnostics.
  • Comparable customer facing role.
  • A good sense of humour, willing to learn.

 

Other:

  • Must possess valid passport and clean driving licence.
  • Frequent travel (25-50%), within the USA is to be expected - responsible for the North East United States.
