About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compensation and Benefits Manager to join our HR team!

 

This is a newly created role where you will take responsibility for overseeing the development of the Lotus Tech’ / Commercial business as it expands and diversifies. There is a strong focus on delivering short-mid-and long-term Reward strategies, initiatives & projects, in line with the development goals of the business, to support attraction, retention and development of our people. 


The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in international compensation and benefits across multiple geographies. You will have the credibility to work with the senior leadership team to further the business. Global Commercial (GC) locations include London, Amsterdam, USA, and China, as main sites with smaller sites across Europe and the Middle East
 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Compensation design and management – covering reward project design & delivery, job evaluation & grading processes, and providing consultancy advice in respect of all matters relating to reward & remuneration.
  • International employee benefits design and management.
  • Reward planning evaluation and analysis.
  • Benefits programme design (e.g., health and welfare, retirement, etc.)
  • Benefits plan management (e.g., retirement, life insurance, short and long-term disability, accident coverage, medical/dental/vision/prescription drugs, job-related perquisites, etc.)
  • Communication (e.g., guidance on benefit programme features, plans, and options to employees and management)
  • Vendor management (e.g., insurance and pension brokers, consultants for program design advice, etc.)
  • Interpret Reward strategy and priorities to develop project terms of reference and scope by applying a total rewards lens to all programs and benefits.
  • Manage the interface with key stakeholders to solicit and integrate input and direction.
  • Develop and manage project plans and milestone commitments, adjusting according to progress and conditions.
  • Lead matrixed teams of Reward, HRSS, Payroll, Procurement, HRBPs, and external consultants to achieve project deliverables.
  • As a subject matter expert for benefits and pensions across EMEA, lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive benefits package/programs to meet business objectives and keep pace with the changing workforce within the assigned geographies and business units.
  • Manage annual benefit renewals and develop the annual budget for multiple EMEA countries which includes working directly with various brokers and consultants on the development of business cases. 
  • Support HR Business partners and business leaders on compensation topics for assigned regions including benchmarking, salary range development.
  • Research and analysis of group benefit and retirement plans, to ensure the competitiveness of plans through benchmark analysis to identify trends and ensure plans remain market competitive in the TR context.
  • Prepare, analyse, and deliver reporting and cost projections to support the recommendation of benefit plan changes and ensure program governance.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Experience in an international reward-focused role in a multinational company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field/MBA.
  • Experience in the design and administration of benefit plans and programs in multiple countries (specifically the UK, Ireland, and Germany). 
  • Desirable specifics; EMEA Pensions and regulatory environment, Insurance brokerage, HR Technology implementation, Flex Benefits.
  • Ability to lead and manage change in a matrix environment.
  • High-level interpersonal and employee relations skills. Ability to confidently and comfortably interact with team members and leaders at all levels, including HR and Business executives.
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritize with multiple tasks and tight deadlines and with a high degree of change and ambiguity.
  • Ability to effectively handle escalations and time-critical issues. 
  • Experience and knowledge of job banding and grading, ideally Mercer IPE expertise (but other JE methodology would suffice)
