Technician – Vehicle Workshop - Temporary/Contracted Role - Hethel
Impact Statement:
To provide practical support as required to Project team, Client or Department Manager.
This includes:
• EV and ICE Vehicle build and strip
• Prototype manufacture or build
• Prototype development or test
• Product change introduction
Role Objectives:
- Delivering technician support to projects on time, to required quality and under instruction
- Ensuring all health and safety compliance is followed
- Ensure to uplhold Lotus' professional reputation
- Following the direction of the workshop supervisor, the technical lead of the project and the production manufacturing engineers
- Communicating with lead engineers and the workshop supervisor
Scope:
- To be fully conversant with the requirements of the job and able to take clear written or verbal instruction and perpetrate it in accordance with Project Demands
- To be responsible for the specific allocated area of a manufacture / strip / build / test Project or Programme
- To carry out all tasks as efficiently / effectively as possible in conjunction with other Staff / Areas
- To be able to analyse Problems and Results in a basic format and give general constructive deduction to the Project engineer/Customer
- To be able to conduct oneself in a reasonable and responsible manner towards other staff members and the customer
- To be able to liaise with customers/suppliers, either in personal situations or meetings
Person Profile - Skills & Knowledge:
- Automotive Vehicle Workshop experience
- B.TEC. National or Equivalent
- NVQ Level 2
- Extensive Automotive experience and recorded Apprenticeship
- Experience of working within a team in an Engineering Workshop Environment
Other Factors:
- Extended hours may be required to support the program delivery
- Split shifts may be required to support the double-shift working patterns
- Travel to test facilities in the UK/ Europe is likely – global travel is a possibility
