Senior electrical Test engineer (Electrical systems) - Hethel/Wellesbourne - Fixed term 12 months Contractor Inside IR35

 

Deliver Lotus Driver information, infotainment and Electrical systems/function validation from quality, attribute, function and usability perspective.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Testing activity and plan other testing resource relating to infotainment, connectivity, and electrical validation.
  • Support supplier or function owner to re-generate defect situation and join for necessary discussion. Collaborative working with infotainment validation leader and Project Leaders to achieve good quality system.
     

About you

A candidate that is able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and manage their time across several ongoing projects will do well in this role. 
The ability to think on your feet and make decisions with a risk focus and identify where further evidence and rationale is needed is desirable.
Inquisitive attitude with a nature to ask the tough questions and approach understanding from new perspectives. 
 

Essential criteria

  • Create functional working scenario, Test cases, User Acceptance Test cases, from system specification requirements and DFMEA.
  • Software issue management, Jira issue capturing/tracking, bug severity ranking and managing countermeasure closures
  • Networks: CAN, LIN, A2B.  Tools:  CANalyzer / CANoe  
  • Wireless communication transmission (BT, Wi-Fi, Mobile network, FM, DAB and Sirius SXM)
  • Software architecture & programming, Functional Safety Experience
  • Bench rig, Lab car & vehicle testing
  • 3rd party application integration function 
  • DVP test timing control to program gateways
  • Full UK driving licence
     

Desirable skills and attributes

 

  • EV trained (to work on HV and LV)
  • Create DVP test document
  • Experience in harness crimping, soldering and de-pinning
  • Comfortable presenting information at a senior level, reporting on progress.

 

Notes

 

  • Lead/join regional UK & EU testing including to the suppliers
  • Occasional Working on weekend and outside working hours
