This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the ever-increasing levels of technology in Lotus’ future products meet and exceed our customers’ expectations all the time, every time. Not necessarily coming from an automotive background but exhibiting Lotus’ famous entrepreneurial spirit, the successful candidate will have the chance to shape the role to ensure high quality, robust and reliable software and ultimately Lotus products.


Role Objectives 
Software Quality & Reliability:
Acting as the voice of our customers, ensure the performance and reliability expectations of our software/technology are understood and delivered through Lotus’ software development process
Define software Quality Assurance & robust reliability activities for Lotus during vehicle & software development phases
Develop and implement system level ‘Beta testing’ activities for all future products
Build a close working relationship with the Lotus software engineering team, understanding cross functional roles & responsibilities, defining, and agreeing those of the Software Quality role.
Utilise the Geely family to gain best practice where relevant and implement within Lotus as appropriate
Work closely with the wider Quality team to understand and drive resolution of software issues, leading root cause analysis and prove out of software updates through a plan do check act (PDCA) process
Striving for perfection.
Implement an effective lessons learnt process for software reliability issues experienced both in plant and in the field, ensuring robust countermeasures are implemented to prevent re-occurrence

Strong relationships with all areas of the business are key to ensuring customer requirements are met and issues are resolved quickly and robustly both during pre-production and in field.


The role requires a strong knowledge of software development and QA processes with an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to implement the best practices that will ensure our products exceed our customers’ expectations. 

Degree in Computer Science / Software or equivalent
Experience in developing high quality test plans, test cases and executing them
Proven experience of implementing new systems/processes/evaluation methods
Good presentation skills 
Good problem-solving skills

Prior experience of device testing and hardware development in a non-automotive environment (Desirable)
Interest in latest trends in technology and a fast learner (Desirable)

The role will offer flexible working however there will be a requirement to attend Lotus HQ in Hethel or other sites as required. Travel may be required but will not form a significant part of the role.
