Group Financial Accountant - Fixed Term Contract (15 Months) - Hethel, Norfolk (Hybrid Working Available) 

We're looking for a Financial Accountant to join the growing finance team at Lotus. The Group Financial Accountant is the statutory expert at Lotus, responsible for the annual audit and accounts, the balance sheet integrity and supporting the monthly close.  This role also incorporates foreign and UK VAT and management of internal audit as required. 

 

Working closely with the Group Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Balance sheet including intercompany reconciliation, analysis, preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Group Statutory Reporting for UK entities including Geely group reporting, preparation of final statutory accounts and management of external auditors.
  • Statutory Reporting for Malaysian and Hong Kong entities including management of tax agents.
  • Preparation of monthly VAT return and foreign VAT.
  • Any technical/statutory guidance or changes required.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in current processes and procedures.
  • Assisting in documentation of procedures

 

This role requires depth of statutory knowledge (IFRS, UK GAAP) and confidence in its application so would suit someone leaving practice as a qualified accountant. 

 

This is a 15 month fixed term maternity cover contract. 

 

Qualifications, knowledge and experience we're looking for in this role: 

  • Recognised accounting qualification
  • Proven experience in accounting environment  
  • Knowledge of UK and international accounting standards
    • UK VAT
  • Consolidation experience
  • Group reporting and larger entity experience rather than just SME
  • (desirable) Knowledge of ERP and consolidation systems preferably HFM.
  • Good Excel skills
  • (desirable) Manufacturing experience.

 

This role is based from our Hethel site, with a requirement to be on site for month end activities and throughout the month on a semi-regular basis. Remote working options are available outside of this time.
