Electrical Packaging Engineer ( Release) - Fixed Term 6 months Contractor Inside IR35 - Hethel/Wellesbourne


Work closely with the Lead Electrical Packaging Engineer, the Electrical Packaging Engineers, the Lighting Engineers and Chief Engineer to support the Electrical Packaging team and Lighting team to deliver current and future Lotus products according to Lotus' new product development system. 
You will be focus on the project management work linked to Team center and the CAD release.
This includes supporting all areas of the business as required to ensure the quality of Lotus products and feasibility studies to future programs

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver Gateway Deliverables according to Vehicle Project Plans (VPP) 
  • Manage the timing plan and deliverable lists of all Electrical Packaging item
  • Work on Team Center
  • Deliver Electrical modules on time and to budget by providing rapid response to issues as they arise and technical excellence in all aspects of design and engineering work.
  • Deliver high and low voltage component packaging and electrical power distribution including the creation of specifications, drawings, RQAs, reports and sign-off documentation.
  • Deliver design validation through testing (yellow boards & on vehicle) in line with project plan and release levels.
  • Define and maintain development and validation processes to ensure delivery of the Electrical Packaging
  • Ensure the technical operation of electrical and electronic engineering work within overall programme requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with suppliers, starting from RFQ process through to production. 
  • Working in conjunction with other function groups, our OEM partners and Tier 1 suppliers ensure that all technical matters are resolved on-time and budget
  • Take initiative on Corrective & Preventive action and resolution during development and manage issues to closure.  



  • Catia V5-ideally with knowledge of Electrical Workbench and Sheet Metal Design programmes.
  • Self managed and proactive approach


Teamcenter-training will be given.



  • Full driving licence 
  • Travel to Lotus offices & suppliers 
  • UK & EU travel may be required
