Title:  Material Planner

Material Planner - £22,000 - £24,000 per annum DOE

To provide continuity of supply to the Production line, ensuring 100% parts availability to the published plan effectively and efficiently within agreed inventory constraints.

Role Objectives

• Schedule supply of components and materials to meet production requirements.
• Assess volume requirements against future published production plans and report concerns.
• Monitor and react to MRP Messages as appropriate.
• Liaise with Suppliers to expedite deliveries to meet production requirements.
• Take appropriate action to minimise shortages, follow up with suppliers to ensure continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Inventory checks and report inaccuracies to the Perpetual Inventory Department.
• Support Accounts Payable with resolution of invoice queries relating to deliveries.

Knowledge and skills

• Diploma or equivalent
• PC Literate with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel experience.
• Operational Management level 3  (desirable) 

Should demonstrate good

• Communication, time management, organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Targets focused and able to work to deadlines
