Logistics Team achieves the following goals for the business.

 

  • Respond rapidly to changes-in the market or customer orders.
  • Minimize variances in logistics service.
  • Minimize inventory to reduce costs.
  • Consolidate product movement by grouping supplier collections and warehouse operations services for current production parts.
  • Establish and maintain Lotus standards and engage in continuous improvement.
  • Support the entire product life cycle through efficient and effective logistics transport system.

 

Logistics Planner role focuses on the achievement of the above supply chain goals through the following-

 

  • Efficient coordination of the whole supply chain for optimum transportation.
  • Problem-solving to keep the flow of goods through the supply chain within budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure adequate information interchange and interaction with third party agents to customs clear parts.
  • Ensure all activities undertaken are in accordance with currently agreed processes, procedures, and timelines.
  • Ensure logistics costs are optimised using normal transportation methods.

 

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Assist in developing a sustainable process and budget per department for integrating the Logistics function with all company stakeholders. 20%
  • Develop improvements to in-bound material logistics strategy for current models to facilitate best practice and cost/service optimisation. 20%
  • Ensure all Logistics process are documented and fully understood. 30%
  • Clear all outstanding unapproved invoices within 5 days of receipt. 30%

 

Skills and experience required 

  • Good understanding of Vehicle builds and logistics
  • Good experience in automotive & Logistics and material planning
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Able to provide excellent
  • stakeholder, service/ leadership
  • Well organised and clear communicator
  • Proven ability to lead and understand problem solving
  • Proven ability to build strong and lasting partnerships
