About the role

We are looking for a workshop supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop. This includes coordinating and supervising the work of technicians, engineers, and other staff members involved in the development and testing of new automotive technologies and products.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Planning and organizing the workflow within the workshop to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assigning tasks and responsibilities to staff members based on their skills and qualifications.
  • Monitoring the progress of ongoing projects and providing guidance and support to staff as needed.
  • Ensuring that all work carried out in the workshop meets quality and safety standards.
  • Maintaining and organizing equipment, tools, and supplies needed for research and development activities.
  • Collaborating with other departments within the organization to coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Training and mentoring staff members to improve their skills and knowledge in automotive research and development.
  • Communicating with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project statuses and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in automotive research and development to ensure that the workshop remains at the cutting edge of innovation.
  • Participating in meetings and committees to help shape the overall strategic direction of the organization's research and development efforts.
     

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Proven experience in the field of vehicle maintenance, and workshop management.
  • EV Experience 
  • Automotive certification such as ASE or equivelant 
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and processes in order to effectively oversee and troubleshoot any issues that arise in the workshop.
  • Knowledge of Vector and DSA tools to perform a first basic assessment of issue of the cars.
  • Strong leadership in evaluating and managing internal and external resources to execute task on the vehicle fleet.  
  • Enthusiasm and passion to drive and develop cars.
  • Open minded, solution driven, highly motivated engineer.
  • Excellent communicator with an open and structured mindset.
  • High level of engagement to solve any issues and drive issue resolution.
  • Positive attitude, resolute and highly skilled to drive for results.
  • Flexible regarding travel
  • High integrity and trust in all activities and communication.
