Vehicle Evaluation Technician (m/f/d)

The Attribute Integration team leads vehicle level attribute development, the compliance and validation process as well as managing the company test facilities (workshop and PG) and fleet. 

Responsibilities:

  • As part of the proto vehicle workshop team, lead the vehicle evaluation and sign-off process for prototype vehicles  
  • Conduct vehicle shake-down on proving ground following initial build or major rework, ensuring their functionality and safety
  • Join launches, drive event and mileage accumulation activities, ensuring the readiness of the vehicles, and manage their maintenance program
  • Participate in vehicle issue resolution, as they arise  
  • Carry simple vehicle instrumentation and perform measurements according to test protocols using common automotive tools like CANape, ETAS, VBOX and other data acquisition systems
  • Support general workshop activities

Requirements:

  • Automotive Engineering technician degree or equivalent experience gained on the field  

  • At least 5 years of working experience working with prototype vehicles, with OEM or Tier 1 supplier  

  • Excellent driving and vehicle evaluation skills, including on vehicle without fully released systems. Evidence of proving ground driving licence is an asset

  • Attention to detail and experience in vehicle preparation. Experience of press launch activities is an asset  

  • Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues as they arise. Strong focus on standardization and quality process  

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Fluent in English Willingness to work in an international environment and support test activities across Germany, Europe and rest of the world
