With the target of maintaining leadership position in vehicle dynamic performances, light weight solutions and advanced concept, Lotus is moving forward in development and integration of advance mechatronic system for chassis.
For that scope, we are looking for a passionate person, which can lead the development of the chassis system from concept to production for current and future programs.
Responsibilities
- As a vehicle dynamics CAE engineers, you are responsible for model-based CAE engineering of suspension, brake and steering, including system technical specification setting, cascading to subsystem target, and content strategy selection to fulfil the target (incl. sub-system modelling)
- Responsible for vehicle dynamics CAE analysis work including ride, handling & steering
- Responsible for benchmark study and evaluation work
- Develop and support ride/steering/handling objective tests in order to further improve CAE capabilities through correlation
Qualifications
- Completed technical studies in the field of mechatronic engineering, electrical engineering or similar (experience >5years)
- Profound understanding of vehicle dynamics theory
- Familiar with vehicle dynamics development process
- Proficient in engineering software like CarRealTime, Simulink, Adams, Matlab, Catia
- As a plus: FEA software, Amesim
- Big interest in automotive, passionate of vehicle dynamics technology, demanding of delivering excellent ride & handling attributes to customers.
- Strong analytical, structural thinking skills
- Independent and responsible action
- Goal-oriented communication skills and strong ability to work in a team
- Positive attitude, resolute and high drive for results
- Flexible regarding travels around the globe in order to participate in benchmark- and development rides i.e. at proving grounds during summer- and winter test, at suppliers, at different production sides and dealer shop when necessary
- Fluently speaking English and German for international communication and meeting
