Software Lead Engineer - Vehicle Motion Control (m/f/d)

For the position of “Software Lead Engineer Vehicle Motion Control” we are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible to lead and establish the design and implementation of Vehicle Motion Control SW for sporty premium cars. You will work closely with our team of skilled engineers to create innovative software that is reliable, efficient and aims to exceed our customers’ expectations.

Proficient knowledge in designing, developing, and testing embedded software as well as good understanding for SW architecture are key to provide professional guidance to the team members and to jointly achieve the set targets for performance, quality and timing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement software for automotive systems and applications, including vehicle control systems, powertrain systems, and driver assistance systems
  • Guiding a team of SW development engineers
  • Experienced in model-based SW engineering (e.g. Simulink)
  • Write and maintain code in C/C++ and other programming languages as needed
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and system engineers, to ensure successful integration of software into automotive systems
  • Contribute to the development of software development processes and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in automotive software technology

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Good knowledge of automotive development processes according ASPICE and ISO 26262
  • Experience with real-time operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • English fluent, German is a plus

 

Preferred skills

  • Experience with AUTOSAR
  • Knowledge of automotive protocols such as CAN FD, FlexRay and Ethernet
  • Experience with software development tools such as version control systems (e.g. Git), bug tracking systems, and IDEs (e.g. Eclipse)
