Chassis Test Manager (m/f/d)

With the target of maintaining leadership position in vehicle dynamic performances, light weight solutions and advanced concept, Lotus is moving forward in development and integration of advance mechatronic system for chassis.

For that scope, we are looking for a passionate person, which can lead the development of the chassis system from concept to production for current and future programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for system and acceptance tests and for defining and coordinating project scopes for the development-related testing of all software functions and data handling quality of the Lotus active chassis components (i.e., Steering, braking, damping…)
• Responsible to create a holistic overarching V&V strategy and derive it to projects. This also includes the creation and further development of test concepts, strategies and processes in collaboration with development teams
• To ensure that the quality standards of the automotive industry are met
• Furthermore, you will take over the creation of resource planning for system tests, the identification and evaluation of the necessary tools and participate in assessments. Test topics are structured and represented to internal and external stakeholders and resources together with the product management and system architect
• To collaborate with the System Architect to ensure that system testing requirements are addressed early in the project

Qualifications

• Completed technical studies in the field of mechatronic engineering, electrical engineering or similar (experience >5years)
• Several years of professional experience in chassis system development and automotive environment (development process according to ASPICE, analyses and creation of concepts according to ISO 26262)
• Big interest in automotive, passionate of vehicle dynamics technology, demanding of delivering excellent ride & handling attributes to customers
• Strong analytical, structural thinking skills
• Independent and responsible action
• Goal-oriented communication skills and strong ability to work in a team
• Positive attitude, resolute and high drive for results
• Flexible regarding travels around the globe in order to participate in benchmark- and development rides i.e., at proving grounds during summer- and winter test, at suppliers, at different production sides and dealer shop when necessary
• Fluently speaking English and German for international communication and meeting
