System Architect Instrument Panel (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute interior components development work within the Interior Engineering team with a strong focus on premium surfaces, lightweight, integration of functions and features in an interior environment.
• Specialist in one or more of the following components: Instrument Panel, Floor Console, Door Trim, Interior Surfaces or similar.
• Create new innovative concepts, and solutions enabling progressive designs. Both supported by first ideation in Catia 3D data.
• Ensure cross functional communication in all aspects and escalate challenges early to define robust solution with highest quality, i.e. predict Geometrical Aesthetic and Functional Final Demand fulfillment
• Define robust part and systems solutions FMEA/DFEMA
• Fulfill overall vehicle development timing and releases
• Support cross functional teams i.e. Supplier, Package, Design, Manufacturing Engineering and other release areas to understand new methodologies and implement learnings successfully
• Ensure that learnings out of benchmark analysis is embedded in processes, guidelines, and innovation
• Lead Innovation Projects and support Intellectual Properties growth
• Define new standards and best practices acc. to vehicle development plan (NPDS) within the team
• Review and check math data status for completeness, feasibility and approval
• Other tasks as assigned by line manager
  
  Requirements
   
• 5 years` experience in holistic interior development in a Premium OEM and Tier 1 environment and execution of at least 1 vehicle project within comparable position.
• Best if all development steps have been supported, like innovation, concept, design, tooling, manufacturing and launch (cradle to grave).
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of interior component Lotus manufacturing processes like injection molding, lamination, welding, wrapping, etc.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of product development, manufacturing, geometry and design area
• Ability to find solutions to technical problems
• Beneficial to have experience in mechanisms and moving elements
• Fluent in English
